For the first time in my life, I was able to visit the metropolis of Hong Kong. I competed in two races. First, in the &#8220;Clean Half&#8221; race over a distance of 15 km, having to fight extremely high waves, strong currents and a high water temperature of 29 degrees Celsius. I still managed to finish fifth among the women with a time of 4 hours, 49 minutes and 3 seconds and was very happy about that. Just one day later, I went to the start of the well-known &#8220;New World Harbour Race 2014&#8221; with around 2,000 participants. The participants swim from &#8220;Stanley Main Beach&#8221; 1.5 km across the bay to &#8220;Deep Water Bay&#8221;. It was a very special feeling to swim in front of the Hong Kong skyline &#8211; a really impressive scenery. Due to my good result the day before, I was able to swim quite liberated and enjoy the many impressions.
